CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

Our Resident Camp provides an exciting, safe community for young people to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills, create lasting friendships and make incredible memories. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Road Less Traveled as an organization was founded by Jim and Donna Stein in 1991, and has been successfully running safe, exciting, life-changing trips for teens ever since. Both Jim and Donna are still the current directors, and are integrally involved in every single aspect of the company. In the summer, they are on call 24/7, available both to parents as well as to our leaders in the field.

We are an ACA accredited organization with an impeccable track record. We believe in the process of accreditation. It allows us to compare our standards to other professionals in the industry. Our accreditation allows us to follow specific standards related to leader screening including use of application forms, reference checks, personal interviews, work history review, and background checks.

Many years ago, we were the first company serving young adults to require that all leaders have a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) medical certification. WFR training is far more advanced than standard first aid or wilderness first aid. In addition to this certification, we carry extensive first aid kits on all of our programs that include antibiotics and epinephrine. Contents, protocols, and standing orders are reviewed and updated every year by our Medical Director who is an MD.

Since our inception, RLT has been on the cutting edge of technological advances in communication. We began carrying Iridium satellite phones on all of our programs as soon as they were available. Today we continue to carry the latest in emergency communication systems. According to geographic location, programs are equipped with satellite phones, ground-to-air radios, and/or cellular phones providing the possibility of 24-hour access to medical help in case of emergency.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Trip Leader/Co-Leader

Travel domestically and/or internationally with a group of high-school and/or middle-school students, monitoring and facilitating community service, language/cultural immersion, and/or wilderness adventure trips

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree or in the process of completing a degree. Equivalent experience working with teenagers in related field will be considered if not currently enrolled in school
• Experience Previous program leader experience working with and or teaching young people age ranging in age between 12-19. Knowledge of and experience with group dynamics, teaching or facilitating groups, supervision of meal planning, food preparation and cooking, managing logistics. Ability to teach program specific skills, environmental awareness, and related scientific, cultural, and historical knowledge pertaining to the regions through which you will travel and their relationship to each other.
• Strong Physical Condition
• Current CPR for the professional rescuer
• Current Wilderness First Responder, WEMT or EMT certification
• Current Red Cross lifeguard or Swiftwater rescue certifications preferred but not mandatory
• Current unrestricted valid drivers license with no major convictions during the previous three year period; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, hit and run, homicide or assault with a motor vehicle, drag racing, operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, license suspended or revoked within the previous three year period for accidents and or moving violations. Driving record should reflect no more than three moving violations and/or chargeable accidents during the previous three years

• For Adventure Programs: Knowledge of three or more wilderness travel methods. Whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, international trekking, biking, backpacking, technical rock or ice climbing and mountaineering. Mandatory requirements for adventure trips include: the ability to lead groups of students on backpacking trips of three to eight days, ability to comfortably lead through remote wilderness areas. This includes, but is not limited to, backpacking preparations, backcountry travel, route finding, campsite selection, equipment maintenance, Leave No Trace camping techniques in desert and alpine terrain and proper protocol in dense bear country.

All leaders must possess the ability to make prudent decisions in adverse conditions. International Service Learning and Language Immersion Programs: Leaders and must be highly proficient or fluent in the spoken language of the program country (Spanish, etc.) and have extensive experience with community service, international travel, managing multiple responsibilities abroad, experience and/or living abroad, cultural immersion. Knowledge of the following is helpful but not mandatory: Sea Kayaking, Whitewater Rafting, Trekking, Surfing, and Snorkeling

• International Service learning and Language Exposure Programs: Leaders to have extensive experience with community service, international travel, managing multiple responsibilities abroad, experience and/or living abroad, cultural immersion. CAMP FACILITIES: Ninja Lounge is a state of the art sports and recreational facility located in the heart of North Miami. We feature several challenging and exciting attractions 10,000 square feet of trampoline space with 2 dodge ball courts, 3 basketball hoops, elevated rope courses, wall climbing, and a Tumble Trak for jumping and flipping. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: HADRACHA
Leader In Training- LIT
Entering 9th Grade
HADRACHA combines leadership training with a fun camp experience. LITs will work with campers and travel on field trips or participate in leadership and team building programs for 2 days. LITS will participate in mitzvah ("good deed") projects and trips. Additionally, one day will be spent at the JCC working on camp wide special events programming, and spending time with campers. An interview process and acceptance is required for admission into the LIT program. 25 Community Service hours will be awarded for each 4-week session.

Madrich CITs assist in camp groups and learn hands on skills as well as knowledge gained in leadership training sessions. A $100 stipend is given and 160 Community Service hours are awarded for each 4-week session. An interview is required for admission into the CIT program. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Learn to surf or improve your surfing skills this Summer Break with Living Water Surf School, presented by Quiksilver and professional surfer William “Skeeter” Zimmerman. Skeeter and his staff of accomplished instructors will help you enjoy and appreciate the ocean and experience the supreme pleasures of The Sport of Kings. Skeeter has shared his passion for surfing and knowledge of the sport with thousands of students during his 12years as a surf instructor. His expertise is strengthened by his friendship with other professional surfers who will make guest appearances at the camp and assist Skeeter and his staff of CPR certified and life guard trained instructors.

Instruction will focus around Ocean Awareness and Surfing Fundamentals. In addition, students will learn firsthand about such topics as waves and tides, marine biology, coastal ecology, and beach profiles. Students may also participate in skimboarding, snorkeling, beach games, and towed tubing or wakesurfing (Wave runners driven by instructors only).

Each week will culminate with a surf contest, complimentary pizza party, and giveaways from Quiksilver,Roxy, and area surf shops.

Remember, the best surfer is the one having the most fun!!!

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are currently hiring in all areas for the summer of 2022.  Positions include general counselors, Arts & Crafts, Lifeguards, Sports Specialists, Kitchen Staff, Dance, Nature.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our top decks can currently accommodate 144 students a week in our junior officer state rooms, which house six students each. Our virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION, also has a deck where all the learning facilities are located, and another deck where we house our flight simulators.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The National Flight Academy offers one of the most exciting and immersive learning experiences in the world- inspiring 5-12th graders to take an interest in science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in an aviation-themed adventure aboard a massive virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION (CVT-11). This four-story 102,000 square foot facility is designed scenically and theatrically to simulate a modern aircraft carrier.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Unfortunately, scholarship funds through the National Flight Academy are not available for our 2016 season. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Project Endeavor offers unforgettable summer camps for high school students from around the globe. Our exciting pre college programs allow you to work with the finest faculty and locations designed to meet the highest standards in each chosen field of study from visual and performing arts to high tech to leadership, entrepreneurship and athletics. Project Endeavor programs offer renowned courses that are specialized to combine the highest level of creative intensity and balance them with safety, fun and adventure for students completing grades 9 through 12. Whether you are acting in a short film in Hollywood, working with your team to design and showcase the future of the high tech world or participating in a fashion shoot in Soho, you’re sure to have the experience of a lifetime!

We felt that high school students of all ages that are beginning to get ready to move from high school to college would be so much better prepared for the future if they had the opportunity to fine tune and discover their talents and abilities by offering these very specialized and creative summer camps for high school students.

Over 25 years, we have experienced that well-designed pre college programs run by highly qualified educational and creative experts and professionals will open the minds and hone the talents of students interested in the fields of Creative and Fine Arts, Technology and Business, Leadership and Athletics while boosting the confidence and comfort of high school students on the verge of new academic and social challenges.

It is our belief that everyone returns from our summer camps for high school students with a greater understanding of the opportunities ahead and a true appreciation of their abilities and talents. Their experience prepares them to prosper as they focus on the world ahead and their exciting future and success.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 dorms, complete with air conditioning and showers, an outdoor pool, a dining hall, outdoor chapel, main lodge for activities and gatherings, a field for sports, and a sand volleyball court. Lake Howell provides a place for canoes and paddleboats.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: San Pedro Catholic Camp is staffed by qualified young men and women who are active in Church ministry and have a deep sense of God in their own lives. All staff members have been screened by the State of Florida, fingerprinted by the Diocese of Orlando, and are well trained for their positions, including certification on working with young people in a safe environment through the American Camp Association.

Overnight and Day Camp participants are offered an opportunity to unplug from distractions and take a step back from everyday life to create important lasting relationships. Our goal is not only to provide a wholesome outdoor life, but to also assist youth in true character and faith formation through the celebration of Mass, daily prayer services, as well as the sacrament of reconciliation.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: All staff participate in a week long training session to prepare them for the upcoming camp sessions. First aid/CPR/AED training is included. Staff will also complete ACA courses online prior to attending camp training.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships are available on a case by case basis.

Summer Camps International is recruiting English teachers aged 25 and over, school teachers or secondary school teachers and B licenses (over two years old) for children's holidays (6-17 years).

Description:  Conduct children in different sports providers.  Assist children / teenagers in weekly tasks.  Set up French / English play classes for all levels and age groups.  Manage day-to-day activities within the school Center.  Supervise the evening outings
