CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The discipline of ballet challenges the student physically and mentally. It is the foundation for any type of dance and enhances flexibility and control for any athlete. Our school emphasizes the importance of a correct foundation so that students will have the opportunity to develop skills to their maximum potential.

This Summer Dance Program is specially designed with different characteristics: Some classes are for students who need to develop skills, strength, clean up defects or difficulties, and get ready for the serious training they will be experiencing during the next school year. Other classes are meant to be an introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco through a very special training method for younger students. Field trips to cultural sites. Final performance by the children showcasing all the disciplines they have learned through the three weeks of the program. Lunch is included in the tuition.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Illahaw’s “Cow-Town” Look. Camp Illahaw sports the theme of “Old Florida”. Our Mess Hall, Bathhouse, Counselor Cabin, and Recreation Room are the beginning of Main Street. Boys and Girls Dorm

Set in the style of an old-Florida cracker-town from the 1800′s, our dormitories and activity rooms serve as the perfect home base for the week’s activities. We have a boys dorm and a girls dorm each with 32 camper capacity. Counselor to camper ratio is 6:1 at night so counselors stay in the dorm with campers all night. With so much to do, campers can stay for multiple weeks with no additional charge for overnights between sessions and we also offer laundry service free of charge!

The Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Visitor Center is home to the Cypress Restaurant, the Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Marketplace and serves as the departure point for fun safaris offered through Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Illahaw is owned and operated by the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a non-profit organization established in 1991. Since 2005, Camp Illahaw has offered campers the chance to experience all Florida has to offer with a diverse selection of fun activities from Horseback Trail Rides; Arena Activities; Florida History/Heritage; Low Ropes Challenge Course; Hiking; Kayaking; Archery; Shooting; Swimming, Paintball*; and our “unique” Outdoor Survival Activity*. We are home to Central Florida’s longest zipline and a full Eco Park Safari which includes the first roller coaster zipline in the United States!

At Camp Illahaw, not only do we concentrate on camper activities but also their social interactions under the guidance of camp directors and counselors assuring a safe and fun experience for everyone. All camp employees are certified in CPR and First Aid annually. As required by Florida State Law they are also fingerprinted and verified through the FBI and Child Protective Services.

Camp Illahaw hosts campers from all over the world from as far away as Spain, France, Germany and Russia! Many of our counselors also come from around the world England, Scotland, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, Iceland, Turkey, Australia and South Africa. They are sponsored by Camp America

Camp Illahaw offers eight (8) one week overnight sessions beginning June 8th thru August 2nd for summer 2014. Boys and Girls ages 10 to 15 are eligible to attend. The camp is owned and operated by the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a nonprofit organization.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Ages 16 to 17

The CIT Program seeks to teach young people about responsibility, authority, and hard work that will prepare them to be counselors and leaders in the future, or to prepare them for college life. Being a camp counselor is a great summer job for college students. Our CIT program is a great way for young adults to gain the necessary experience and qualities needed to secure a job. Many camps look for past camp experience or CIT program experience. We prefer our CIT’s be past Camp Illahaw campers but it isn’t required.

You will also earn 50 community hours per week!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Solutionary Heroes Summer Camp is designed and directed by Jenna Bardroff, a humane educator with a Master of Arts degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Animal Biology. Camp programs are also facilitated by Dale Bardroff, M.A., an educator who has taught a wide population of special needs students. Camp educators are qualified outreach educators for compassionate studies and are committed to teaching participants solutionary skills. All camp educators are CPR and Frist Aid certified.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are currently hiring in all areas for the summer of 2022.  Positions include general counselors, Arts & Crafts, Lifeguards, Sports Specialists, Kitchen Staff, Dance, Nature.

CAMP FACILITIES: We rest on 167 acres and 3 lakes. We have 2 lodges and 10 cabins and multiple meeting areas. We also have a dining hall with av/audio equipment built in and ready to use.

We have an open pavilion for recreation and sound system needs.

Our field allows for groups to do many different outdoor events.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We are own by the St. Augustine Presbytery. We are Presbyterian by nature and we accept all different denominations. We have been around since 1957 and are accredited by American Camp Association (ACA).

For our summer camp, we have a staff of 24 young adults that are all trained in counseling. They are also First Aid and CPR certified. We have a core of lifeguards on staff as well along with Challenge Course Facilitators.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a Counselor-In-Training camp. Our campers during their first week at camp will learn how to be a camp counselor at Montgomery Center. They will return a second week in the summer and counsel their own group of kids with our staff.

We also have a 2 week Leaders-In-Training camp, where our campers will go through group initiative and other challenges to help foster community, leadership and responsibility. They also participate as campers in most activities but have class sessions. They become leaders in our camp programs and will take day trips to serve in our communities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Camp Live Oak allows your child to explore the world around them here in South Florida, enjoying the many aspects of our beautiful environment! Each Camp Live Oak session and week is centered around a theme, with activities and programs built around that theme. Understanding the local natural environment and developing a respect and stewardship for that environment is vital to our program. The integration of science and art into each week allows for creativity and enthusiasm for learning and doing.

Campers enjoy swimming, canoeing, science, kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding and archery every week that they are at camp, with different activities rotating on various days. Exciting and educational field trips, guest speakers and specialty programs are scheduled regularly to give your child an extremely well rounded day camp experience!

Remember, you may register for as many, or as few, weeks as you’d like, there is no minimum number of weeks.

Entering 9th Grade
HADRACHA combines leadership training with a fun camp experience. LITs will work with campers and travel on field trips or participate in leadership and team building programs for 2 days. LITS will participate in mitzvah ("good deed") projects and trips. Additionally, one day will be spent at the JCC working on camp wide special events programming, and spending time with campers. An interview process and acceptance is required for admission into the LIT program. 25 Community Service hours will be awarded for each 4-week session.

Entering 10th Grade
Madrich CITs assist in camp groups and learn hands on skills as well as knowledge gained in leadership training sessions. A $100 stipend is given and 160 Community Service hours are awarded for each 4-week session. An interview is required for admission into the CIT program. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Ithiel offers one Adventure Camp for youth ages 12-18. We travel to the North Carolina Mountains for 5 days.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Learn to surf or improve your surfing skills this Summer Break with Living Water Surf School, presented by Quiksilver and professional surfer William “Skeeter” Zimmerman. Skeeter and his staff of accomplished instructors will help you enjoy and appreciate the ocean and experience the supreme pleasures of The Sport of Kings. Skeeter has shared his passion for surfing and knowledge of the sport with thousands of students during his 12years as a surf instructor. His expertise is strengthened by his friendship with other professional surfers who will make guest appearances at the camp and assist Skeeter and his staff of CPR certified and life guard trained instructors.

Instruction will focus around Ocean Awareness and Surfing Fundamentals. In addition, students will learn firsthand about such topics as waves and tides, marine biology, coastal ecology, and beach profiles. Students may also participate in skimboarding, snorkeling, beach games, and towed tubing or wakesurfing (Wave runners driven by instructors only).

Each week will culminate with a surf contest, complimentary pizza party, and giveaways from Quiksilver,Roxy, and area surf shops.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Chameleon at Markham Park is located at Shelters 5 & 7 in a beautiful lakefront area. The park has model airplane fields, nature trails, disc golf course, volleyball, racquetball, tennis courts and playgrounds for the children to enjoy in a wonderful natural setting!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Experienced, caring counselors are fully background screened. Many of the staff work as substitute teachers and after care counselors in local Broward County schools.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership Training program (CIT) available for campers entering 9th and 10th grades. Ability to earn community service hours needed for high school graduation.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a huge gymnasium with lots of individual classroom space for indoor activities. We have a 10 acre campus with lots of shade and room to run and play.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Paideia is a classical, Christian, organic and green school. Our model is classical to enhance learning. We are certified as a Green Apple School. This is our third year having the school and summer camp. Each week we have a unique theme that will keep your children engaged.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We have a year round private school on the same property.

CAMP FACILITIES: Large Modern Equestrian Facility on the Econ River next to the new 275 acre Econ Sandhill state preserve. We have secure parking, 24 Hour Digital monitored surveillance cameras, and Huge Air Conditioned Bunkhouse for Kids to Play and Cool off in 25' Pool and Deck, Bounce Houes Water Slides and constant interaction with the Horses, Lambs, Mini Goats, Bunnies, Chickens, Mini Horses, etc.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Children Will Arrive at 9am and Ride in the Mornings while it is Cool, Riding, Tacking Up, Equine Education, Feeding, Grooming, "Mucking" and General Horse Care. We have a Large Air Conditioned "Bunk House for Arts and Crafts for the Afternoons, with a 25' Above Ground Pool (Only 4' Deep) with constant Supervision, Bounce House with Water Slide for the Kids to Cool off in on the Hot Summer Days. Parents will provide a Healthy Lunch for the Kids to Bring M-Thurs (Refrigerator, Microwave, Pepsi & Propel Machine $1). We will have Party Fridays for Horse Show with Pizza (Cheese & Capri Suns and Water and Fresh Fruit on Friday) All Safety Equipment Provided. Private Bathrooms. We also Offer Music Lessons for Guitar, Electric, Bass, Acoustic, Piano, Voice and Drums for additional fee. Fee either 1x or 2x per week.
