CAMP LOCATION: Since 1956, generations of Long Island families have discovered a unique, beautifully landscaped and wooded oasis located in the heart of their suburban community. They find that the size is just right, large enough to offer a tremendous range of activities-small enough for their children to feel comfortable in a warm and friendly environment.
CAMP FACILITIES: Merrick Woods offers huge, sprawling ball fields and quaint, plenty of playgrounds, and rustic craft shops carved out of the woods. We also have three heated pools basking in the sunshine, and the shaded paths and coves where cool breezes provide comfort from the summer heat.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Merrick Woods offers a full range of activities. Swimming is the heart of a Merrick Woods summer. Our American Red Cross certified instructors make sure your child's swim experience is the best! Some of our athletics include baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics, soccer, and gaga.
We have numerous arts and crafts as well as a challenge course, zip line, and elective activities for older campers. Our program also includes travel for some of our older campers.
5th and 6th graders in our Tween Explorer program travel twice a week and our Top Notch Teens (grades 7-9) travel each day. With a program that grows with your child, you'll see why your family grows up at Merrick Woods
