CAMP FACILITIES: Pearce Williams Christian Centre is located on 180 acres of land. We have 7 km of trails, flat playing fields and rolling hills. We have 3 main outdoor campfire pits and 2 indoor fireplaces. There are currently 4 large meeting spaces, small breakout rooms, and 8 cabins. We have an outdoor pool that can be used during the summer months.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Counsellor-In-Training Program is for youth aged 15 - 16 who want to learn, like working with children and want to work at camp in the future. The program includes a one week training camp and then two weeks of cabin placement working directly with a counsellor - you will learn to do by doing.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Realizing that families have different abilities to pay, Pearce Williams Christian Centre offers a voluntary three-tier payment program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family. The Tier System allows us to continue to offer our same low fees for summer camp, while letting everyone know the true cost of camp.
You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family.
Tier I is our historically subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating summer camp programs.
Tier II is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still can not afford the actual cost of camp.
Tier III more closely accounts for the true costs of camp including wear and tear of buildings and grounds.
If you cannot afford the cost of Tier I, please ask for a bursary application. Please call 519-764-2317 for assistance with bursary applications. Bursary applications are due by May 15 each year.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Pearce Williams Christian Centre holds Family Camp every summer during the Canada Day weekend. It is a great time to come out with your family to experience what camp is all about! For more information, visit our website or give us a call!
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Our facility is year-round and available for rental. We run camp programs during the summer and outdoor education programs during the spring and fall.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Every week our counsellors lead a session about something they are passionate about. Campers have the opportunity to choose which skill they want to learn throughout their week at camp.
We also run a Sports and Arts Discovery week where campers can explore different sports and arts to find something they are passionate about and/or to grow their skills even further.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
We start our summer camp season with our Family Camp on the Canada Day long weekend and end our season with our Youth Camp the second last week of August. For the dates and ages of each session, please refer to our website.
